The story “SINIGANG” by Marie Aubrey J. Villaceran is about how Liza, the main character deals with the issue of her father who had an extramarital affair with Sylvia, and consequently had a son, Lem. The story took place in Liza’s home where she and her aunt, Tita Loleng, were cooking sinigang which is her father’s favorite dish.

THE MORAL VALUES THAT I GOT FROM THE STORY “SINIGANG” i had learned throughout reading this story is that, despite of what the circumstances that could surround us.
Forgiveness and Acceptance
Each of us makes mistakes that can cause harm to others. It might be difficult to forgive, especially when he or she makes mistakes that have a lasting impact on your life. However, the only way to make your life more serene is to learn how to forgive. We must forgive those who have wronged us, but never forget the lesson they have taught us. We must remember that forgiveness allows us to recover and grow as individuals
I learned from reading this story that, regardless of the circumstances that may surround us, we must always remain true to ourselves since the problem is sometimes our attitude toward the problem, not the problem itself. When faced with adversity, we must constantly remain optimistic. We should also learn how to manipulate objects, which is a crucial talent for humanity’s survival.
Impact of the story “Sinigang” to me as a 21st century Learner
This narrative has left an impression on us about the need of forgiveness; we forgive and make errors. We can’t prevent it, but we can change our attitudes about it. Apart from that, it inspired us to consider how one mistake might affect the lives of others. Yes, you’ve learned to forgive, but you can’t undo what you’ve done, but you can help and demonstrate your sincerity by making changes in your own life. There aren’t always pleasant endings in life. However, it is up to us to decide how we will deal with life’s challenges. There aren’t always pleasant endings in life. However, it is up to us to decide how we will deal with life’s challenges.
It’s very sad when members of the same family refuse to communicate with one another. Forgiveness is a choice, not an option. “There is no such thing as a perfect family. We argue, quarrel, and even cease talking to each other at times. But, at the end of the day, family is family.” Love will always be there for you.
